Counted Cross Stitch design inspired by a traditional Welsh Sampler dated 1884 by Cathrina Rees - worked in full cross stitch throughout, so fast and fun to stitch. We have added the alphabet in Welsh to update the look for modern stitchers to celebrate the language. Antique Welsh samplers of this era did not normally include an alphabet, there was often a biblical quote instead - and those with an alphabet were worked in English as the Welsh language had declined in use in this period.
The kit contains 14 Count white Aida, 6-stranded Coats Anchor embroidery threads, needle, chart and instructions.
