Sampler design in celebration of the inspirational Bess of Hardwick, trusted friend of Queen Elizabeth 1 and a great supporter of the needlecrafts, amongst much else! An original stitched version of this design hangs in the shop at Chatsworth House alongside the kits we supply there. (Their exclusive version includes the word CHATSWORTH in the lower border).
Worked in full cross stitch only throughout, so fast and fun to complete.
The kit includes 14 Count Cream Aida, 6-stranded Anchor embroidery threads, needle, clear symbol chart and instructions.
